Tigers 1-5 at Glenwood Volleyball Invitational

Red Oak went 1-5 at the Glenwood Volleyball Invitational Saturday.
Pella was a perfect 6-0 to win the team title. Sioux City Heelan Catholic was the runner-up with a 5-1 record while the Rams finished 4-2 for third.
The Tigers dropped matches to Underwood 21-19, 25-23, Heelan 21-14, 21-15, Pella 18-21, 21-11, 9-15, Glenwood 13-21, 21-18, 12-15, Stanton 24-22, 22-20. Their lone win came over Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 21-7, 21-17.
Jocelyn O’Neal led the Tigers with 63 kills combined in the six matches. Keely Jones chipped in 27 winners.
Setters Alexis Joint and Emily Sebeniecher dished up 39 and 47 set assists, respectively.
Stanton finished 3-3 at Glenwood with wins over Underwood 18-21, 16-21, 15-7, Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson 21-13, 21-10 and Red Oak 24-22. The losses came to Harlan 21-16, 21-16, Pella 21-16, 21-13 and Harlan 21-16, 21-16.
Lauren Johnson led the Viqueens with 50 kills and 35 digs on the day.
Kyla Hart paced the offense with 67 set assists.

Stanton 20-23-25-29-7
Sidney outlasted Stanton 25-20, 25-23, 18-25, 27-29, 15-7 in a Corner Conference volleyball dual Thursday in Sidney.
Addy Haning had 17 kills to lead Sidney.

Atlantic 20-14-22
Red Oak swept Atlantic in a Hawkeye 10 Conference match last Tuesday.
The Tigers put down 37 kills in the win with Joceyln O’Neal leading the way with 11 winners.
Keely Jones added nine kills and Karly Jenkins six.
Alexis Joint notched 15 assists and Emily Sebeniecher had 14 assists to go with 14 digs.
Paytn Harter paced Atlantic with seven kills.
