Tiger basketball tops East Mills, 60-54

Red Oak shook off two weeks of rust with a 60-54 win over East Mills in non-conference boys basketball Friday.
“We didn’t shoot well and East Mills put up a good fight, but the boys found out a way to come out on top,” said Red Oak coach Jesse Taylor.
Kaleb Sebeniecher and Mason Gurney had their first career varsity starts tonight in the victory.
“Throughout the game, especially the fourth quarter, they defended well and did what we needed them to do to contribute to the win,” Taylor said.
Reese Montgomery had a big night for the Tigers with 31 points and 19 rebounds. Carson Roeder added 14 points, five rebounds and three steals. A.J. Beeson chipped in 13 points and rebounds.
Mason Camden and Cooper Hagen scored 17 points each to lead East Mills.
