SW Valley eighth at Ron Scott Duals
The Southwest Valley boys wrestlers placed eighth with a record of 2-6 at the Ron Scott Duals in Mount Ayr Saturday.
Cameron, Mo. won the team title with a perfect 8-0 day in duals. Harlan was the runner-up with a record of 7-1.
The Timberwolves scored their two victories over East Union 42-26 and Durant 51-27. The losses came to Chariton 48-31, Cameron 62-18, Mount Ayr 40-37, Central Decatur 35-29, Harlan 42-26 and Shenandoah 42-34.
Gavin Wetzel (165) was a perfect 8-0 on the day for the Timberwolves. Degan Farwell (113 pounds) went 7-1 and Ben Waddell (126) and Carson Cooper (150) each won six matches.
Timberwolves 1-2 at East Union
Southwest Valley boys wrestling finished 1-2 in duals at East Union Thursday in Afton.
The Timberwolves logged a 48-14 win over Panorama and took losses to Martensdale-St. Marys 47-31 and the host Eagles 34-33.
Degan Farwell (113 pounds), Ben Waddell (126), Gavin Wetzel (165), Lucas James (175) and Griffin Wetzel (190) all had 3-0 nights for the Timberwolves.
