Stanton rolls to 60-19 win over Essex

Stanton opened the game on a 28-8 run and cruised to a 60-19 victory over Essex in Corner Conference girls basketball Friday.
    Hannah Olson poured in 28 points on 14-of-24 shooting to lead the Viqueens. She also grabbed eight steals and four rebounds. Lauren Johnson chipped in a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Paityn Vanatta scored 10 points to pace Essex.

Stanton 62,
Bedford 49
Stanton used a 19-8 third quarter run to pull away from Bedford for a 62-49 victory in Corner Conference girls basketball last Tuesday.
Lauren Johnson led four Viqueens in double-figures with 16 points. Riley Burke, chipped in 13 points, Hannah Olsen 11 and Kyla Hart 10 points and 9 rebounds.
Caroline Simmons scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Bedford.

Sidney 70,
Essex 15
Ava Osborn and Charli King combined for 41 points for Sidney in a 70-15 win over Essex in Corner Conference girls basketball last Tuesday.
Osborn led the way with 21 points and King scored 20 points.
Mariska Kirchert’s seven points led Essex.

Logan-Magnolia 55,
Essex 27
Maci Bertelsen led three players in double-figures for Logan-Magnolia in a 55-27 victory over Essex last Monday.
Bertelsen led all scorers with 13 points. Brooklyn Lally added 12 points and Alivia Leonard 10.
Paityn Vanatta and Kylie Valdez scored seven points each to lead Essex.
