Stanton notches Corner win over Griswold

Stanton downed Griswold 59-31 in Corner Conference boys basketball Friday.
Brodee Sowers scored 14 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead Stanton (10-10 overall, 6-4 in the conference). Jayden Burke and Nolan Case each added 12 points.
Griswold (2-16 overall, 1-10 in the conference) was led by Dain Laverty’s 12 points.

Stanton 62,
Seymour 55
Stanton overcame a slow start to get by Seymour 62-55 in nonconference boys basketball Thursday.
The Vikings trailed 15-9 after a quarter before going on a 19-8 second quarter run to take the lead for good.
 Brodee Sowers had a big night for Stanton with 23 points and 21 rebounds. Cooper Dreyer and Tristan Elwood added 10 points each.

Stanton 57,
Hamburg 48
Nolan Case and Brodee Sowers combined for 30 points in Stanton’s 57-48 win over Hamburg last Tuesday, scoring 15 points each.,
Gabe Staleyhad a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds, and Noah Kimpel added 17 points.

Griswold 48,
Sidney 31
A 20-1 third quarter helped Sidney to a 48-31 win over Griswold in Corner Conference boys basketball last Tuesday.
 Dain Laverty and Brayden Lockwood scored 14 points each for Griswold. Wyatt Silk added 10.
Sidney was led by Joseph Lutz’s 19 points.
