Horn, Britten to compete at JV State Dance Championship

The Iowa State Dance Team Association (ISDTA) will celebrate its 50th anniversary this fall by hosting the second annual JV State Dance Championship alongside the State Solo Qualifier — a tribute to five decades of growth, opportunity, and excellence in Iowa dance.
“Reaching 50 years is a proud moment for ISDTA,” said Executive Director Andrea Dana. “Our organization has always focused on creating opportunities for students, and the addition of the JV division last year has become an exciting new chapter in our story.”
On Oct. 23 and 24, more than 940 soloists and 20 JV teams will compete across two host communities — Newton and Pella — in the ISDTA State Solo Qualifier and JV State Dance Championship. Events will take place at Newton High School, Berg Middle School, Pella High School, Pella Middle School, and Pella Jefferson Intermediate School.
We’re proud to share that Stanton/Red Oak Dance Team’s own Cate Horn and Caitilin Britten will be competing on Oct. 24.
Good luck, girls! We’re cheering you on!
