Defense, teamwork aid in Viqueens’ win

Stanton swept Griswold 25-16, 25-21, 28-26 in Corner Conference volleyball last Tuesday.
“We battled hard on the court tonight and came away with a win over the Griswold Tigers,” said Stanton coach John Mainquist. “Strong serving and solid teamwork carried Stanton through each set. With consistent defense and sharp attacks at the net, the Viqueens secured the victory.”
Cooper Stephens and Addison Jones led Stanton with four kills each.  
Gabi Grebin paced the offense with eight set assists and Addy Gettler notched 16 digs.
