Big second half lifts LC past Red Oak

Ramon Ware led four players in double-figures for Council Bluffs Lewis Central in a 76-48 victory over Red Oak in Hawkeye 10 Conference boys basketball Friday.
Ware went 7-for-7 from the field with 18 points. Carter Thielen added 12 points, Ty Paulsen 11 and Jimmy Scott, 10.
Reese Montgomery scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead Red Oak. Brayden Sifford chipped in seven points and five rebounds.

Clarinda outscored Red Oak 23-15 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 68-60 victory in Hawkeye 10 Conference boys basketball last Tuesday.
Sam Kline and Kyle Wagoner scored 13 points apiece to lead four Cardinals in double-figures. Warner Schmitt had 11 points and Cooper Baumgart 10.
The Tigers too had four player score in double-figures, led by Reese Montgomery’s 19 point night. He also pulled down nine rebounds to lead Red Oak.
Brayden Sifford scored 13 points and dished out 11 assists, Brett Erickson scored 12 and Landon Gigstad chipped in 11 points.

Reese Montgomery and Brayden Sifford combined for 47 points for Red Oak in a 76-52 victory over Lenox in non-conference boys basketball last Monday
Montgomery poured in 27 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Sifford added 20 points, five rebounds and six assists.
Defensively, the Tigers forced 29 turnovers.
Dayton Tull led Lenox with 15 points.
