H&H Trailers expands to Red Oak

A popular Clarinda business is expanding its operations and bringing more jobs to Red Oak.

H&H Trailers, a division of Novae Corp., has announced an expansion of their manufacturing operations to the south side of the Red Oak Fabrication building at 2400 N. Broadway.

This expansion will bring an additional 50,000 sq. ft. of production space to the current Iowa manufacturing footprint. Novae Corp., which owns H&H Trailers, has invested in upgrading the Red Oak facility over recent months, and the plant will run as a fully integrated trailer manufacturing plant, from weld to paint to final assembly. Trailer production is scheduled to be underway by the end of January, and the plant is currently hiring both skilled and unskilled labor positions in welding, powder coating, and assembly.

Red Oak Fabrication owner Jeff Fort said the relationship with H&H has been very positive.

“It’s been a good business relationship. We do a lot of cutting for them and making parts to their trailers. It’s been a win-win. Trailers didn’t work for me, but it’s going to work for them,” said Fort.

Troy Hanni, General Manager for Iowa Operations said the expansion will help in meeting increased demand.

“Demand for the H&H Trailer brand has continued to outpace the growth of the overall utility trailer market. This expansion is necessary for H&H to stay ahead of the demand curve and to provide our dealers with the customer service and response time they need to support their businesses,” Hanni said.
