Head-on collision near Coburg

A head-on collision occurred Friday, March 6, about two miles west of Coburg. A crash report from the Iowa State Patrol read the two vehicles collided around 6:20 a.m. just below the crest of a hill.
The two drivers, 19-year-old Kammi Conrade of Red Oak, and Jacob Woods, 30, of Shenandoah, were both flown to Nebraska Medicine via LifeNet helicopter. Conrade was driving a 2001 F-150 southbound and Woods, a 1998 Chevrolet S-10, northbound. The investigation into the accident continues.
The state patrol was assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Red Oak Fire and Rescue and the Montgomery County Emergency Management Agency.
