Griswold boys golf defeats Clarinda
CLARINDA — The Griswold boys golf team defeated Clarinda 173-185 at their home meet Thursday.
James Reynolds shot a 38 to lead Griswold and claim the top medalist spot. Carlton Rahn of Clarinda was runner-up with a score of 41.
Jake Reynolds wasn’t far off from runner-up as he shot a 43. Tyler Wyman was the next finisher for Griswold as he recorded a 45. Tyrel Peters had a 47 while Treighton Oakleaf finished with a 49. Morgan Kimpson was the final finisher for Griswold with a 55.
Griswold vs. Tri-Center
The boys picked up a win earlier in the week when they defeated Tri-Center 169-188. The girls meanwhile lost to Tri-Center 221-229.
The medalist for the boys was Jake Reynolds, who shot a 38, one stroke ahead of runner-up Wes Zimmerman of Tri-Center.
James Reynolds was two shots back of Jake with a 40. Wyman had a 44, Oakleaf and Peters each a 46. BJ Schoning was the final finisher as he shot a 53.
For the girls, Hattie Dalke was the medalist for Griswold. Dalke shot a 44 to lead the way. Kara Johnson of Tri-Center was the runner-up with a 52.
Beth Berg was the next finisher for Griswold with a 57. Reagan Whitehill shot a 61 and Karley Keiser recorded a 67.
Griswold was scheduled to be back in action Monday versus Underwood. Results weren’t available as of press time.
