Future Ready Iowa Employer Summit to be held in Clarinda
Employer leadership is critical to the success of Future Ready Iowa and ensuring we meet our goal of 70% of Iowans have postsecondary training or education by 2025. A partnership that includes the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, Iowa Business Council, and Iowa Workforce Development, is hosting Future Ready Iowa Employer Summits across the state this fall.
The Future Ready Iowa Employer Summits are an opportunity for employers to learn how to leverage Future Ready Iowa to help grow their skilled workforce, learn more about work based learning and partnerships with local high schools, hear from peers about the innovative ways they are growing their workforce as well as learn about registered apprenticeship programs. The summits will last approximately 2 hours and will include presentations about hiring and retaining underrepresented populations, high school to workforce pipelines (work-based learning, apprenticeships and internships), collaboration with community partners, upskilling current employees and financial resources available to support these efforts.
These summits are hosted by employers for employers and will hopefully provide you with the information to take the next step to build your workforce. Space is limited and we will notify those who register for a particular summit that we have capacity for them approximately 2 weeks before each summit is held. Priority will be given to employers and businesses as well as local educators.
