Here's the 3A preview for Friday night's games.

Glenwood Rams (0-5, 0-3) @ Red Oak Tigers (0-5, 0-3)

It's homecoming in Red Oak as both teams look for their first wins of the season. By the end of Friday night, one of these teams will be 1-3 in the district.

Red Oak comes into this game fresh off a shutout loss to the Creston Panthers last Friday, 48-0. Glenwood lost to Atlantic last week, 20-7.

In last year's meeting, Red Oak lost to Glenwood 31-22. Last season's  meeting was Red Oak's first with Glenwood since 2003. The Tigers last defeated Glenwood in 1987.

Levi Henderson leads the rushing attack for the Rams. Henderson has rushed for 333 yards with one touchdown this year.

Nick Leinen and Seth Esaias will lead the rushing attack for the Tigers. Esaias is five-yards shy of reaching 300 for the season, while Leinen has 263 yards.

Carroll Tigers (5-0, 3-0) @ Lewis Central Titans (1-3, 1-2)

The Tigers continue their run towards the state playoffs as they head to Council Bluffs to face Lewis Central.

Carroll has rolled through the competition thus far this season, most recently defeating the Winterset Huskies, 35-10.

Lewis Central meanwhile looks to try and get back into the playoff picture following a 21-14 loss to Harlan, last Friday.

Anthony Beyerink leads Carroll into Council Bluffs for the game. Beyerink had 155 yards and two rushing touchdowns against Winterset, last week.

Lewis Central got the win over the Tigers last season. The Titans have won the last two meetings.

Harlan Cyclones (3-2, 2-1) @ Atlantic Trojans (2-3, 2-1)

Both teams are currently tied for third in 3A District 1. A win for either one gives them third place heading down the stretch.

The Cyclones are in search for their second straight win after defeating Lewis Central last week, 21-14. Atlantic meanwhile is coming off of a 20-7 win over Glenwood last Friday.

Harlan has won the last eight meetings against Atlantic, including in 2010. Atlantic last won against Harlan in 2002.

Creston Panthers (4-1, 3-0) @ Winterset Huskies (1-4, 1-2)

Creston looks to keep their attention on Winterset as a first place battle against Carroll seems likely for next week.

The Panthers shut out Red Oak last week, 48-0. Winterset meanwhile lost to Carroll, 35-10.

If Winterset wants to keep their playoff hopes alive, they'll need to defeat Creston. Winterset has won twice over the Panthers in the last four meetings. Creston is 11-2 lifetime against Winterset.
