Free patriotic concert in Corning July 2

The Liberty Winds, from the United States Air Force Band of Mid- America, stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois will be performing a free concert at the Corning Opera House Cultural Center on Tuesday, July 2 at 7 p.m. This ensemble is committed to honor and inspire our military and civilian audiences by presenting a wide range of musical literature, from traditional classical repertoire to marches and popular music.
Members of Liberty Winds are called upon to perform for military ceremonies as well as a great variety of community events and concerts for all ages. These professional musicians also reach out to support music students, providing concerts and clinics in an educational environment. Currently, Liberty Winds performs throughout a 10-state region of the Mid-Western United States. As an ambassador of the Air Force Band of Mid- America, this group provides a highly professional product to communicate esprit de corps, motivation, inspiration, and render honor to our Airmen and country.
Concert officials are encouraging everyone to dress patriotically. The best dressed patriotic patron will receive a surprise gift. Concessions will be available and there will be general seating.
