Four arrested in drug bust

Four people face drug charges following an investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a release, beginning May 30 through June 1, the sheriff’s office brought multiple narcotic investigations to a close, resulting in the following arrests:

April Watson, 37, Red Oak, was charged with delivery of methamphetamine, a Class B felony.

Dawn Anderson, AKA Dawn Dawson, 42, Red Oak, was charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, both Class C felonies.

David Shuffler, 34, Red Oak, was charged with two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one a Class C and one a Class B felony.

Kaylie Hudson, 23, Red Oak, was charged with delivery of methamphetamine, a Class C felony.

Anderson, Shuffler, and Hudson were taken to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center on $50,000 bond. Watson was taken to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Center on $100,000 bond.

Chief Deputy Jon Spunaugle said in some cases, the investigations have gone on for several months.

“None of the arrests are related. They were all separate investigations we were doing. They date back as far as November, 2017,” Spunaugle said.

Spunaugle added it was a good feeling to take the offenders off the streets.

“It feels real good. It’s just one of those things where you’re trying to get things cleaned up, and means we’ll be moving on to the next one.”

Spunaugle said he was hopeful the recent arrests would send a message to the public that the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was being proactive.

Additionally, Spunaugle said one other suspect remains at large.

“The suspect is Mandy Jo Perry, 42, of Red Oak. We have warrants for her right now for narcotics violations. We are actively seeking her. Additionally anyone that is found harboring her will be charged accordingly,” commented Spunaugle.
