First 50 Fun Day Celebration, Saturday

VILLISCA ee"Commemeration of the 50th anniversary of the high school gymnasium will take place Saturday, April 3.
The day kicks off with a 5K and 10K fun run and walk at 8 a.m.There is a $15 donation fee that will be collected by the Villisca High School Student Council.
Following the run, the school will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, starting at 10 a.m.
At 3 p.m. former 6-on-6 girls’ basketball players will demonstrate the rules of the game.The demonstration will be followed by recognition ceremony of the 1968 girls and 2009 boys teams.
The evening concludes with a benefit Firemen’s Supper at the Villisca Community Center, beginning at 5 p.m.
