Erickson hired as activities director

Mark Erickson was hired as activities director for the Red Oak Community School District at the June 8 board of education meeting. Erickson currently serves as the school administrative manager, high school lead teacher, and student council sponsor

 “First and foremost, I look forward to serving the coaches, sponsors, students, and athletes in this position. One reason I love Red Oak is that the people of this community are extremely supportive of our school activities,” said Erickson. “Numerous people give their time, energy, and money to create wonderful opportunities for our students. During my time in Red Oak, I have had the chance to work with our school board members and staff, our booster club, and local businesses. My expectation would be to continue to work closely with those groups of people in order to grow and strengthen our activities department.”

Erickson has been with the district for 22 years as an elementary, middle school and high school teacher. He served as School Administration Manager at the secondary level the past two years.
