Elliott man injured in one vehicle accident

An Elliott man was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Montgomery County around 11 p.m. Monday, Jan. 4.
The Iowa State Patrol said the accident occurred on Highway 48 near the 36-mile marker, with 41-year old Joshua Franzen injured in the crash.
According to the report, Franzen was driving a southbound 2007 Buick Lucerne on Highway 48 when the car went out of control, slid into the west ditch, rolled, and came to rest on its’ top facing north.
Red Oak Rescue transported Franzen to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Red Oak Fire and Rescue, and Elliott First Responders assisted at the scene.
