Ellen "Janie" Elwood, 87

Ellen Jane “Janie” Wagaman Elwood, 87, Red Oak, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital.
Janie was born April 20, 1939, in Atlantic, the daughter of William Owen and Ethel Lenora (Johnson) Blay.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, Glen Wagaman and Dale Elwood; and one grandson.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Hossle of Red Oak; Jim Wagaman of Red Oak; and Jerry Wagaman of Emerson; step-children, Jeff Elwood of Omaha, Neb. and Brett Elwood of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
A private family graveside service was held on Friday, July 17, 2026, at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
