Four students from the Montgomery County area are among those named to the spring 2016 semester dean’s list at the University of Northern Iowa.
To be included on the list, a student must have earned a grade point of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while taking at least 12 hours of graded work during the semester. On the 4.0 system, an A is worth four points; a B, three points; a C, two points, and a D, one point.
On the list are:
• Red Oak: Ellen Fellers, Courtney Marsden, Morgan Sowers.
• Villisca: Christine Shipley.
The students are Rachael Knight from Henderson, who attends Buena Vista University-Council Bluffs; and Cecily McCuen from Villisca, who attends Buena Vista University-Creston.
Buena Vista University-Storm Lake has named students to the dean’s list for the spring 2016 semester.
The students are Casaundra Currin of Villisca, Morganne Haer of Villisca, and Charlie Ruff of Emerson.
Students named to the dean’s list must have a minimum grade point average of 3.5 for the semester, based on a 4.0 grade point system, and must have taken at least 12 hours of coursework.
Two local students were named to the spring 2016 dean’s list at Central College in Pella.
The honor is awarded to full-time students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale while taking 12 or more graded credit hours for the semester.
Students honored included Geoffrey Sellers of Red Oak and Paige Vannausdle of Red Oak.
