City of Red Oak recruiting volunteers for commissions, boards
RED OAK — The City of Red Oak has several volunteer positions on City appointed Boards or Commissions available.
Anyone interested in serving should stop by Red Oak City Hall, 601 N 6th Street and pick up an application.
The City is attempting to make all Boards and Commissions gender balanced by 2012, per Iowa's House File243.
All interested individuals are asked to have their completed application returned to Red Oak City Hall, 601 N 6th Street by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010.
— Low Rent Housing has two positions available and it will be two-year terms.
— Planning & Zoning Commission has one position available and it will be a five-year term.
— Board of Adjustment has two positions available and it will be five-year terms.
— Historical Commission has three positions available and it will be three-year terms.
— Park and Tree Board has one position to fill a vacancy that expires 1/1/2014.
Individuals must be a resident of the City of Red Oak.
