Caswell to lead American Bank

 Former Red Oak resident Christopher C. Caswell has been named president of American Bank in Albert Lea and Alden, Minn. 

Caswell is a graduate of Iowa State University and the Graduate School of Banking in Boulder, Colo. 

Prior to joining American Bank,  Caswell was senior vice president and agricultural loan officer for Frandsen Banks in Rennville County, Minn, and was president of Great Western Bank in Red Oak.  

He has more than 30 years of banking experience including commercial and agricultural lending. Moving to Minnesota from Forest City he had operated Caswell Financial Services for more than four years.  

He was also vice president and served on the senior management team for Manufacturers Bank and Trust Co. in Forest City for more than eight years.

Caswell has relocated to Albert Lea and plans to be an active community and agricultural leader in the bank’s four-county territory in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa.
