C. Lloyd "Puckett" Miller, 94, of Red Oak

C. Lloyd “Puckett” Miller, 94, of Red Oak, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital. 
Lloyd was born March 14, 1914, in Marne, the son of John Floyd and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” (Ury) Miller. 
He was raised in the Marne area, where he started farming at a young age. 
He was united in marriage to Bonita Harris on Sept. 5, 1936, in Atlantic. To this union were born three children:  Delbert, Phyllis, and Sharon. 
Lloyd moved from Atlantic to Red Oak in 1957. 
He was united in marriage to Lucille Knop in February 1971 — she preceded him in death that same year. They had a son, Randy. 
He later was united in marriage to Geneva Cook on Sept. 28, 1973. She preceded him in death on Dec. 19, 1990. 
He owned and operated the Elm Tree Motel for several years and worked for Walt Askloff at the Phillips 66 Station. He worked for the Farmers Mercantile and drove for Halvin and Kinnison Truck lines before going to work for American Beef Packing in Oakland, where he retired in 1980. 
He was a member of the Red Oak Eagles Aerie.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two wives; and brother, Allan Miller. 
Survivors include his children, Delbert (Barbara) Miller of Virginia Beach, Va., Phyllis Davidson of Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Rensch of Red Oak, and Randy Miller of Kansas City; step-children, Tom Rhodes of Red Oak, Jeanne Garcia of Palm Desert, Calif., Larry Ord of Barstow, Calif., and Jo Ann Nelson of San Bernardino, Calif.; eight grandchildren: and many great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Graveside funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Fred Pilecki will officiate.
