Sarah Behrens and Macy Baker participated in the state tennis meet at Byrnes Park in Waterloo on Thursday and Friday, June 2 and 3.
Behrens and Baker played Decorah’s number one doubles team the first round and lost 2-6, 6-7. The Decorah team eventually placed third overall.
The Tigers duo headed to the consolation bracket where they faced the Fort Madison team of Larson/Gray, winning the round 6-2 and 7-6.
Second round of consolation play sent Behrens/Baker against Decorah’s other doubles team of Spencer/Kreig. The Tigers lost this round 1-6 and 1-6.
Tuesday, June 7, the coed doubles teams head to Waveland Courts in Des Moines. The coed teams are Sarah Behrens/Weston Rolenc and Macy Baker/Keatis Kunze.
