Athen, Johnson receive honors

The Iowa Basketball Coaches Association announced its all-substate teams and all-region teams for boys and girls.
Class 3A Region 2 girls team includes Sierra Athen, a junior from Red Oak.
Athen was the lead scorer and rebounder for the Red Oak Tigers, averaging 14 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game.
Athen netted 309 points this season in the 22 games played.
Class 1A Region 7 boys team includes Drake Johnson, a sophomore at Stanton.
Johnson played in 23 games and scored 478 points, averaging 20.8 per game. He is the 44th ranked scorer in the state.
Johnson also collected 126 rebounds, 89 assists, and 47 steals.
