Arnold V. Williams, 85

Arnold V. Williams, 85, of Henderson, passed away Dec. 2, 2010, at the Hospice With Heart Hospice House in Glenwood.  
Arnold Vernon Williams was born Feb. 3, 1925, near Silver City. In June 1944 he was drafted into the United States Army.  Since he was a good tractor driver, he was trained as a tank driver.  He was in F Company, 3rd Armored Spearhead Division, 1st Army under General Bradley.  He served there for 2 years. On Oct. 14, 1951, Arnold married Wanda Bowen of Henderson at the Henderson United Methodist Church.  
Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Wanda Williams of Henderson; daughter:  Debra Williams of Emerson; son:  Ronald Williams of Emerson; “adopted daughter”:  Linda Olsen of Red Oak; grandpups:  Connor and Cricket; brother:  Darrell Williams of Silver City; and sister:  Ilene Spetman of Papillion, Neb.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the Henderson United Methodist Church.  Burial will take place at Farm Creek Cemetery in Rural Henderson.
