Area schools gearing up for prom festivities

Red Oak and East Mills schools hold their proms this weekend.
Red Oak’s prom begins with a walk-in at 6:30 p.m, and prom from 7:30-11:30 p.m. at the Red Coach. The theme is “Under the Stars.”
East Mills prom begins with the grand march at 5:30 p.m. at the elementary building, followed by dinner at 7 p.m. at the Lakin Building and the dance to follow. This year’s theme is “Romance in Rio.”
On April 28, Griswold’s prom will be at 5:30 p.m. beginning with the grand march at the city park.
Southwest Valley will begin their walk-up at 6 p.m. between the activities center and the high school. This year’s theme is “Masquerade.”
Stanton’s prom begins with a walk-in at 6:30 p.m., and the dance at 8:30. This year’s theme is “Enchanted Forest.”
