Sixteen Montgomery County nonprofits were awarded funds recently through the Montgomery County Community Foundation (MCCF), working in partnership with the Red Oak Heritage Foundation.

Joyce Lucille Carlson, 95, Glenwood, formerly of Emerson, passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at the Glen Haven Village Nursing Home in Glenwood.
Dolores M. Holm, 94, Des Moines, formerly of Red Oak, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at Ramsey Village in Des Moines.
With a goal of seeing that every registered child in Montgomery County receives at least one new toy for Christmas, the local Marine Toys for Tots program is underway.
