Tigers finish seventh at Shen golf tournament
SHENANDOAH — The Red Oak golf team finished seventh in the large school portion of the Mustang Golf Invitational, which took place at the American Legion Country Club in Shenandoah last Tuesday.

SHENANDOAH — The Stanton and Red Oak girls track and field teams both finished in the top six out of 10 teams competing at Thursday’s Fillie Relays at the Ray Graves Track in Shenandoah.
SHENANDOAH — The Red Oak boys track and field team finished sixth out of 13 varsity teams during last Tuesday’s Mustang Relays at the Ray Graves Track.
RED OAK — The Red Oak tennis teams began the 2014 season with some early wins.
The following events were filed with the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office between April 3 and April 9, 2014. All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
The public is invited to attend grand opening activities at the newly-constructed Stanton Viking Center. An open house will be held at the Viking Center on Wednesday, May 14th from 5pm-7pm with opening ceremonies and FREE entertainment starting at 7pm.The Viking Center includes a gym, library, preschool, wellness center, walking track and multi-purpose room. The grand opening will include tours, refreshments, flag pole dedication, ribbon cutting, giveaways and booths by area groups. The ceremony at 7pm will be hosted by Rand Fisher with Iowa Area Development Group. The weekend is finally approaching, at least for the schools. With school not being in session for Friday, all the key sporting events will take place Thursday.
Rodney Ludwigs, of Clarinda, will be receiving a bone marrow transplant in Texas over the course of the next few weeks. His friends are hosting a card shower for him.
Emily Katherine Bachtell and Nathaniel James Raney, both of Elk Horn, (formerly from Arlington and Elkader) were married in Council Bluffs, Jan. 31.
