RED OAK — The Red Oak City Council voted to move forward with Tax Increment Financing for two City projects at last Monday’s meeting.
Red Oak’s police chief and the Montgomery County sheriff have both been listed as defendants in a lawsuit filed on behalf of protesters from Westboro Baptist Church.

RED OAK — The Red Oak boys varsity golf team picked up a win last Tuesday at the Red Oak Country Club when they defeated the Southwest Iowa Warriors (Sidney/Fremont-Mills) and Villisca.
RED OAK — After a week of no meets, the Red Oak boys track team returned last Tuesday and finished fourth at the Red Oak Invitational.
TREYNOR — Area girls track teams were in Treynor last Tuesday for the Cardette Relays as Griswold finished second, while Red Oak placed ninth, out of 18 teams competing.
With this spring’s weather, I have been wondering if we’ll even have a shroom’n season or not. Last year was early and most morel-nuts missed the right couple of weeks.
STANTON — Area track teams returned to the track last Monday by putting together a strong showing at the Viking/Viqueen Relays in Stanton.
