As Homecoming Week – 2009 started, the Red Oak School District broke out their ghoulish side as the Tigers prepared to “Scare the Falcons” on Friday night.
On a mentally grueling course at the Shenandoah Invitational, the Red Oak Tigers, Griswold Tigers, and Villisca Blue Jays all continued their way towards improving on last week’s performances.
As area volleyball teams prepared for both the Corner Conference and the Western Iowa Conference they were trying to gain any momentum possible.
Two area teams remained undefeated Friday during Week 6 of the high school football season, with Grisowld and Stanton winning big.

After a tough loss to Clarinda, the Tigers fought back this week to win the Tri-Center Tournament.
Danielle Woods, from Red Oak, started at ITT Tech in Omaha, Neb. on March of 2008. Her expected date of graduation is March 2010.
