VILLISCA – After losing four varsity starters from their Corner Conference champion team to graduation, the Blue Jays are working hard to step up to the competition.

There was no fanfare or even a pause in the action to commemorate the milestone, but as Alex Whigham crossed the goal line for his fifth score Friday night, he broke the Iowa high school 8-man care

The 2009 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held at the Iowa State Fair on Aug. 23 at the Iowa State Fair 4-H Exhibit Building.

Maybe it’s time we listened to kids who like recess best.

I liked school, but as I get older, I’m increasingly convinced recess is a very good and necessary thing to preserve health.
