Amos, McCunn vie for county D3 seat today

 

It’s primary election day and Montgomery County voters have a couple of decisions to make with regard to selecting candidates to be on the November general election ballot.

Locally, there is one race. It involves Montgomery County Supervisor District 3, incumbent Bryant Amos being challenged by Mike McCunn in the Republican primary.

Others on the local ballot are Republican incumbents Stephanie Burke for auditor, Joseph Sampson for sheriff, and Donna Robinson for District 5 supervisor.

There are no local Democratic Party races on the primary ballot.

Polls are open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. today. You must register with one of the parties to vote in its primary election, and you cannot vote in both. You can register at the polling location. If you need to know your voting location, contact the county auditor’s office.

Republican Ballot

The Republican ballot includes the following, though some races are not on all ballots due to district lines:

• U.S. Senator: Charles E. Grassley

• District 3 U.S. Representative: Joe Grandanette, David Young

• District 12 State Senator: Mark Costello

• District 23 State Representative: David Sieck

• District 24 State Representative: Cecil Dolecheck

• County Supervisor District 3: Bryant Amos, Mike McCunn

• County Supervisor District 5: Donna M. Robinson

• County Auditor: Stephanie Burke

• County Sheriff: Joseph G. Sampson

The winners will be placed on the general election ballot for next November.

Democratic Ballot

The Democratic ballot has the following:

• U.S. Senator: Patty

Judge, Bob Krause, Thomas L. Fiegen, Robert M. Hogg
