American Cancer Society starts annual Daffodil Days fundraiser locally

RED OAK — The American Cancer Society offers a unique way to acknowledge special people in your life while making a difference in the fight against cancer through its Daffodil Days program.

Bouquets of fresh-cut daffodils will again be available for a donation of $10, the 2011 Boyd’s Bear Live N. Hope & a Bunch are $25 and the Dainty Daffodil Plants are $15.
Funds raised will support the Society’s mission of saving lives and creating more birthdays by helping people stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early, helping people get well by being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis, by finding cures through investment in lifesaving research, and by fighting back by working with lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to join the fight.
Daffodils may be reserved by calling any of these local ACS Daffodil Days committee members:
— Wanda Johnson 623.3479;
— Karon Stanley 623.3866;
