4-H Shooting Match results announced

The 2009 Iowa 4-H Shooting Sports Match was held at Big Springs Range near Montezuma on June 20th. Montgomery County had five 4-H members participate and results from Montgomery County were:

Matthew Hanson—Compound Archery—second in Iowa—Senior Division

Dalton Larson—Compound Archery— 10th in Iowa—Senior Division

Andrew Palmquist—Compound Archery—sixth in Iowa—Intermediate Division

Zach McCarthy—Recurve Archery — second in Iowa—Senior Division

Matthew Hanson—Recurve Archery — third in Iowa—Senior Division

Dalton Larson—Recurve Archery — fifth in Iowa—Senior Division

Evan Mellott—Muzzleloader — third in Iowa — Intermediate Division

Zach McCarthy—Wildlife — first in Iowa —Senior Division

Evan Mellott—Shotgun — first in Iowa—Intermediate Division

Andrew Palmquist—Shotgun— 16th in Iowa—Intermediate Division

The Montgomery County 4-H shooting sports program consists of archery, air rifle, 22 rifle, shotgun, wildlife, and muzzleloader.

Sixty 4-H’ers are enrolled in the program.
