‘Starlit Paradise’ featured theme at Red Oak’s prom

RED OAK — Red Oak High School students will be celebrating their annual prom Saturday night at the Red Coach Inn.

The walk in begins at 6:30 and goes until 7:30 p.m. Meals will be served at 7:45 p.m. The menu for the dinner will be chicken fried steak, salad with ranch dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy and corn, and a brownie.

The coronation for the prom king and queen will take place at 8:45 p.m. The nominees for the queen are Kristine Boatman, McKaela Magneson, Cheyanne Nelson, Rachel Pierson and Carly Walker. The nominees for king are Brandon Bruce, Dalton Johnson, Justin Marsden, Colin Streicher and Jeffrey Updike.

The dance will follow the coronation ceremony.

This year’s theme will be “Starlit Paradise.” DJ Greg Brower will handle the music and HR Photography and Video will take the prom pictures.

The After Prom party will take place following prom at the high school. It will be held from 12:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students will sign in between 12:30-1 a.m., with no admission after that point.

If students sign out when they leave, they won’t be allowed to return. There is no cost for the event, as food, fun, games and prizes will be available for all juniors and seniors and their guests that attend.
